A black and white monochrome photograph of Dr Mannings Yard (Yard 83) in Kendal, Cumbria. The cottages in the yard are thought to date from the early 18th century and Paul's photograph of this traditional yard in the 'Auld Grey Town' of Kendal conveys a sense of history juxtaposed with elements of modern life that are visible in the image.

Dr Manning's Yard can be found off Highgate.

The photograph is exclusive to the Paul Holland Photography Studio in Kendal and is offered as a high quality canvas print, made to order in a choice of sizes.

The image is printed onto high quality, 100% cotton canvas whch is then stretched over a wooden frame. Once stretched onto the canvas frame your canvas can be hung as it is or you can opt to have the canvas set within a choice of a black, white or dark brown frame. The photo canvas is made in the UK and takes around 5-8 working days to produce.

At checkout, choose between UK nationwide delivery or collection from the Kendal studio.

A bit more history:
The yard was formerly known as Braithwaite's Yard named after Quaker and philanthropist George Braithwaite who established a drysalter business in 1713 supplying materials to the local textile trade. The yard was later renamed to Dr Manning's Yard, named after the physician who practiced there during the early 1900s.
